How good was it to have some sunshine this past weekend?
What felt like the wettest winter in a long time was getting a bit draining for all of us. I noticed it on our regular walks, the people we’d pass looked tired, were not as chatty, had their heads down.
Compare & contrast that with the weekend just gone. Getting outside this weekend, the mood of everyone that we passed – super-enthusiastic in their greetings, heads up, energetic and making the most of it.
Ignoring what the weather is doing around you, how would you describe your environment? Is your environment draining you or fueling you?
The environment you choose to create for yourself? That’s 100% in your hands, unlike the weather.
When we talk environment, its:
- the people you surround yourself with,
- the spaces you spend time in,
- the habits you put on repeat — all of these things either drain you, or fuel you.
If you’re around people who lift you up, in places that energise you, doing things that move you forward, it’s a whole lot easier to keep your head up regardless of the forecast.
So take a look around. Ask yourself: does my environment support the version of me I’m trying to become? If not, it might be time for a few upgrades. Because while we can’t turn the rain off, we can set things up so we’re thriving no matter what’s happening outside.
